Events Group


The Events Group (TEG), a dedicated platform for event professionals in the region, hosted a members-only breakfast gathering at ROVE Downtown, Dubai. The event brought together members for a morning focused on networking, updates, and discussions about key issues affecting the UAE events industry.

The gathering opened with a thank you to ROVE for their support in hosting. A key highlight was the introduction of new board members, who will contribute their experience and perspectives to TEG’s continued development:

  • Sumaira Isaacs, Vice President of Advocacy and Partnerships, and General Manager of Gulf Dunes
  • Emma Pope, Vice President of Weddings, and Corporate Director of Lifestyle Events at EMAAR Hospitality Group
  • Alex Maddock, Vice President of Events and Sponsorships, and Commercial Growth Director at Arena Group

TEG also introduced new strategic partnerships that reflect its focus on collaboration and industry development. The new partners are: Dubai Economy and Tourism, EVENTFAQS Media Middle East, Middle East Event Show and Experiential Planner

Members were briefed on recent advocacy efforts, which included discussions around: Event permits and licensing, import and export challenges, event IP protection, delayed payments and strict contract terms, and promoting a data-driven approach in the events sector.

  • The group also previewed upcoming initiatives like the TEG Job Portal and TEG Talks, which will provide platforms for knowledge sharing and professional growth.
